A Clash of Titans: Mohamed Salah Threatens Harry Kane's Record in Liverpool vs. Arsenal

Egyptian football star, Mohamed Salah, is set for a crucial showdown with his team Liverpool against Arsenal at "Anfield" today, Sunday, as part of the third round of the Premier League. The match's significance isn't just about the three points; it also holds great personal ambitions for Salah, who aims to increase his goal tally and break new records.

محمد صلاح يضع هاري كين تحت الضغط في صراع الأهداف

Salah currently sits third on the list of all-time top scorers against Arsenal in the Premier League with 11 goals. Ahead of him are Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney, with 12 goals, and Tottenham's star, Harry Kane, who leads the list with 14 goals. According to the "Opta" network, Salah needs just one goal to equal Rooney's record and a "hat-trick" (three goals) to tie Kane's, putting significant pressure on Kane in this historic rivalry.

Record-Breaking Ambitions: Salah Chases Aguero, Milner, and Henry

Salah's ambitions don't stop at Arsenal's goalposts; they extend to other records at his home ground, "Anfield." After equaling Argentinian star Sergio Aguero's record of 106 goals at a single stadium, Salah is now aiming to claim the second spot on that list. Aguero achieved the same feat at "Etihad Stadium" with Manchester City. Salah also hopes to break the long-standing record held by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, who scored 114 goals at "Highbury."

In addition to his goal-scoring prowess, Salah has a golden opportunity to achieve a new milestone in playmaking. He needs just one assist to equal James Milner's record, who is ninth on the all-time Premier League assists table with 89 assists.

Salah, The Best in the Premier League

These ambitious goals come after Salah was named the best player in the Premier League for the past 2024-2025 season by the "Sofascore" network. He rightfully earned this award after his significant contributions to Liverpool's title-winning season, where he scored 29 goals and provided 18 assists, receiving a 7.78/10 rating, the highest among all Premier League players last season.
