Al Ahly Files 5 Official Complaints Against NBE Vice Chairman

Al Ahly club management today tasked its legal advisor, Mohamed Othman, with filing five urgent official complaints and a formal report to the Public Prosecutor against Yehia Aboul Fotouh, Vice Chairman of the National Bank of Egypt (NBE). The action follows statements made by Aboul Fotouh that included "transgressions against the club, its fans, and some state institutions."

Recipients of the Complaints


The complaints were directed to five authorities based on their respective jurisdictions:

  1. Minister of Finance: As the owner of the National Bank of Egypt.

  2. Governor of the Central Bank: As the regulatory authority over banks.

  3. Minister of Education: As Aboul Fotouh's statements reportedly criticized the education system.

  4. Minister of Youth and Sports: For its responsibility over sports institutions.

  5. The Public Prosecutor: Through a formal report for investigation.

Al Ahly stated that the move is aimed at protecting the rights of the club and its fans and preventing actions that incite discord, especially at a time when national unity is required.
