China Warns Against Israeli Plan to Seize Gaza, Calls for Firm Rejection

In a firm diplomatic stance, China has expressed deep concern over Israel's announced plan to seize parts of the Gaza Strip, asserting that any attempt to alter the geographic or demographic reality of Palestinian territories must be met with resolute rejection from the international community. This warning was delivered by China's envoy to the United Nations, Fu Cong, during an emergency meeting of the Security Council, placing the issue at the forefront of global diplomatic concerns.

Fu Cong, China's Permanent Representative to the UN, described the Israeli Security Cabinet's approval of the seizure plan as a "highly serious matter." He urged Israel to "immediately cease this dangerous move," emphasizing that Gaza "belongs to the Palestinian people and is an inalienable part of their territory." He added that any action aimed at changing its demographic or geographic composition must be met with "the utmost rejection and resistance."
