Chinese Foreign Minister: China Remains Jordan's Most Reliable Strategic Partner

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated on Monday that China will remain the most reliable strategic partner for the Kingdom of Jordan in its path toward development and resurgence. Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made these remarks during a meeting with King Abdullah II of Jordan.

1. Strengthening Strategic Partnership

• Official Invitation: Wang invited King Abdullah to visit China next year for the second China-Arab Summit, aiming to elevate China-Arab cooperation to new heights.

• Jordanian Support: The King affirmed Jordan's full support for China’s hosting of the summit and its readiness to contribute to the preparatory work to ensure its success.

• Jordan as a Stabilizer: Wang praised Jordan under King Abdullah’s leadership as a "force for stability" that plays a unique role in promoting regional peace and justice.

• Global South: Wang emphasized that China stands with the Global South and medium-sized nations, adhering to the principles of equality and non-interference while protecting the interests of developing countries.
