Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to Visit UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan from December 12 to 16

A spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced today, Thursday, that Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi plans to visit three Arab nations: the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Visit Details:

• Dates: The visit will take place between December 12 and 16 this month.

• Hosts: The visit comes upon the official invitation of high-ranking officials from the three countries:

  • UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

  • Saudi Foreign Minister, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

  • Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi.

• Wang Yi's Position: Wang Yi is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

• Expected Goals: The visit is expected to focus on promoting bilateral relations and consulting on regional and international developments.
