Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng emphasized on Monday that China and the Republic of Korea (ROK) should enhance their economic relations and create new avenues for win-win cooperation. He Lifeng, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made these remarks during his participation in a China-ROK business forum in Beijing, alongside ROK President Lee Jae-myung.

Strategic Cooperation: He stated that under the strategic guidance of the important consensus reached by the leaders of both China and the ROK, the two countries must actively work to improve and develop economic and trade cooperation, continuing to open new horizons for mutually beneficial partnership.
Opening-Up and Investment: He Lifeng noted that China will steadfastly continue to expand its high-level opening-up. He emphasized that China welcomes companies from all nations, including those from the Republic of Korea, to invest, conduct business, and take advantage of development opportunities within the Chinese market.
The Korean Perspective: For his part, President Lee Jae-myung confirmed that cooperation between the Republic of Korea and China has deepened across various fields over the past few years. He expressed the ROK’s desire to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation with China to achieve greater benefits for the people of both nations.
Forum Details: The forum was co-organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It saw the participation of approximately 400 representatives from the governments and business sectors of both countries.
