Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir, received the Guinness World Records certificate recognizing Sokhna Port as the deepest man-made harbor basin constructed on land, with a depth of 19 meters.

Significance and Strategic Goals:
Global Recognition: The Minister expressed happiness, stating the achievement reflects the significant development across various sectors in Egypt, especially maritime transport.
National Effort: Al-Wazir emphasized that the achievement was realized by the efforts of over 200 Egyptian national companies involved in the development project.
Strategic Objective: The Minister stressed the necessity of transforming Sokhna Port into a global pivotal hub on the Red Sea and a main gateway for exports and imports, aligning with the strategic goal of "transforming Egypt into a regional hub for transport, logistics, and transit trade."
Guinness Confirmation: The certified adjudicator, Kanzi El Defrawy, confirmed that Sokhna Port recorded a depth of 19 meters, officially becoming the new world record holder.
