Elon Musk, CEO of the American electric car company Tesla, unveiled two models of self-driving taxis and buses on Thursday.

The CEO made the announcement in California, United States, at a time when many companies around the world are competing to develop self-driving technology for private cars and taxis.
According to Musk, these taxis will be called Tesla's "Cyber Cabs" and are expected to enter commercial production in 2026, at a price of less than $ 30,000, a price that competes with Chinese electric cars.

Musk said that Tesla electric cars will soon be able to drive themselves without prior supervision by their owners.
For years, Tesla has marketed features as fully autonomous cars that require constant monitoring, but Mr. Musk said Thursday that constant monitoring will end as the driving systems evolve.
The company hopes that next year, owners of Tesla Model 3 and Model Y vehicles in Texas and California will no longer need to monitor their self-driving systems. “They will be able to set their final destination without having to arrange a shorter route,” he said.
Mr. Musk told the audience that consumers will be able to buy e-taxis by 2026.
