Gemini's "Gems" Feature: A Collaborative Leap That ChatGPT Can't Easily Match

In a move that significantly boosts its competitive edge, Google has added a new feature to Gemini's Gems tool, allowing users to share their custom workspaces with others. This feature, currently available to paid Gemini Pro subscribers, gives Gemini a distinct advantage over its direct competitor, ChatGPT, whose Projects feature does not have sharing capabilities.

ميزة "Gems" في Gemini: خطوة نحو التعاون التي يتفوق بها على ChatGPT

The Gems feature in Gemini allows for the creation of a personalized workspace that remembers a user’s preferences, style, and instructions, streamlining their tasks. With this latest update, these workspaces are no longer limited to personal use; users can now share them with individuals or groups.

Sharing is a straightforward process managed through the Gems web interface. Users simply click the share icon, enter the names of people, and set permissions for viewing or editing, or they can generate a shareable link.

According to a report from "Android Authority," this new feature highlights the power of Google's ecosystem. The sharing process for Gems is very similar to sharing Google Docs or Google Sheets files. This makes it difficult for OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, to easily replicate this feature as it lacks the same familiar and integrated platform that Google has.
