Salah took to his official Twitter account to share his thoughts, writing: "A great pre-season. Thank you very much to everyone in Hong Kong and Japan. The visit to Ikoin Temple was inspiring." The visit was part of a cultural initiative by Liverpool Football Club during its pre-season tour of Asia, aimed at giving players a chance to learn about the cultures of the countries they visit.

Videos and photos shared by the English club showed Salah and his teammates exploring the historic Ikoin Temple, a major tourist attraction in Tokyo. While the visit was a planned club activity, it caused significant controversy on social media platforms in Egypt. Some fans expressed disapproval of Salah, a well-known Muslim, being inside a Buddhist place of worship. However, others defended his actions, viewing them as a sign of cultural openness and respect for different beliefs.

Liverpool's Pre-Season Preparations

The Asian tour is a key part of Liverpool’s preparations for the upcoming football season. The Reds are scheduled to face Crystal Palace in the Community Shield match this coming Sunday, an event they will participate in as the reigning Premier League champions. The tour has received a great deal of attention from fans in both Hong Kong and Japan, with a particular focus on the Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, who enjoys immense popularity worldwide.
