Egyptian officials and citizens praised the joint Chinese-Egyptian poultry training project, "New Hope," affirming that the project contributes to the revival of the Egyptian countryside and increases the income of the beneficiaries.

Project Success and Future Outlook
Goal and Location: Launched last August by the Chinese Embassy, the Egyptian National Alliance for Developmental Civil Work, and the Chinese company New Hope, the initiative trained 100 women in two villages in Menoufia Governorate on chick rearing for economic empowerment.
Economic Benefit: The first phase achieved complete success, yielding an economic benefit approaching 10,000 Egyptian pounds per family in a cycle lasting barely 45 days.
Praise for the Model: The project was described as a "model to be followed for small livelihood projects" between China and Egypt, contributing to providing a "decent life" for the beneficiaries.
Calls for Expansion: Dr. Walaa Gad El-Karim, director of the Central Unit for the "Decent Life" initiative, urged Chinese companies to support expanding the project's scope to include more Egyptian villages, noting that the initiative complements the national "Decent Life" program.
Chinese Achievements in Poverty Alleviation
Ambassador's Presentation: During a "Rural Revitalization Plan" seminar, Chinese Ambassador Liao Liqiang asserted that the Chinese people "won the largest, most intense, and most impactful battle against poverty" in human history, making a significant contribution to global poverty reduction.
Ongoing Cooperation: The Ambassador stressed China's readiness to deepen cooperation with Egypt in improving people's livelihoods and poverty alleviation, affirming support for small yet "beautiful" livelihood projects under the "Belt and Road Initiative."
