Rooney Violently Attacks Salah: Your Presence is a Cause of "Suffering" for Liverpool

English football legend Wayne Rooney urged Liverpool manager Arne Slot to get rid of the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah so that the team can stop its suffering, which is currently characterized by a streak of defeats in the English Premier League.

روني يهاجم صلاح بعنف: وجودك سبب "معاناة" ليفربول وآن الأوان للتخلص منك

1. Liverpool's Suffering and Salah's Decline

  • Team Status: Liverpool's struggles under Slot continued after losing 0-3 to Nottingham Forest on Saturday at Anfield, marking 6 losses in their last 7 league matches, placing them 11th in the table.

  • Salah's Decline: Following an exceptional 2024-2025 season (57 goals in 52 games), Salah has scored only five goals in 17 matches this current season.

  • Defensive Weakness: The 33-year-old player has been ineffective in attack, while other clubs have exploited his defensive shortcomings as a means to attack Liverpool—according to The Daily Mail.

2. Rooney's Call for a "Tough" Decision

Wayne Rooney, the former Manchester United striker, called on Slot to make a "big" and harsh decision:

  • Lack of Defensive Aid: Rooney stated: "Salah does not help the team defensively. If you are one of the players Liverpool signed and you are on the bench and you see him not running, what message does that send you?"

  • Team's Benefit: Rooney emphasized that Slot must make a decision for the "benefit of the team," even though Salah is "a club legend, and we know everything he has done for Liverpool."

  • Slot's Task: Rooney stressed that Slot has a massive job to return the "Reds" to winning ways.

3. Rooney's Warning Regarding Jürgen Klopp

Rooney warned Liverpool fans against continually mentioning the former manager, Jürgen Klopp:

  • Similarity to Man Utd: "The big problem is that when this negative streak happens, Klopp's name is mentioned. It's similar to what happened at Manchester United with Sir Alex Ferguson."

  • Supporting the New Manager: He added: "Slot is not the quality of Jürgen, and Liverpool fans need to move away from that and stand by him."
