The Return of 30 Chinese Martyrs' Remains from South Korea

China's Ministry of Veterans Affairs announced that the remains of 30 martyrs from the Chinese People's Volunteers, who were killed in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, will be returned to China from the Republic of Korea this coming Friday.

This marks the 12th time that the remains of Chinese martyrs have been repatriated since the two countries signed a handover agreement.
Between 2014 and 2024, China and the Republic of Korea successfully completed 11 handover operations, which included the remains of 981 martyrs from the Chinese People's Volunteers and related artifacts, in accordance with international laws and humanitarian principles. Both sides have agreed to continue their cooperation in this endeavor.
It is confirmed that nearly 200,000 Chinese People's Volunteer soldiers were killed in the war that lasted from 1950 to 1953.
