The Tunisian national team, known as the "Eagles of Carthage," has officially qualified for the 2026 World Cup finals, becoming the third Arab team to secure a spot in the global tournament. This achievement came after a hard-fought and exciting 1-0 victory over Equatorial Guinea on Monday, during the eighth round of the African qualifiers.

The winning and only goal for the Tunisian team came in the final moments of the match, specifically in the 90+ minute, scored by Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane. This crucial win elevated Tunisia's points tally to 22, guaranteeing them the top spot in Group H with two rounds remaining in the qualifiers, thus securing their early qualification.
With this accomplishment, Tunisia joins both Jordan and Morocco as the first three Arab teams to ensure their participation in the next World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
