Tunisia Turns the Page on Syria Loss: Trabelsi Confirms "Eagles" Ready for Palestine Clash

This match follows a disappointing start for the "Eagles of Carthage" after a surprising 0-1 loss to Syria in the first round of the group, which also includes the host nation, Qatar.

In the pre-match press conference, Trabelsi stated that "Everyone has turned the page on the loss to Syria," noting that his team dominated the first match, but football holds "unpredictable different rulings," with Syria successfully scoring from a set piece. He added: "We tried to prepare all the players, and we hope the physical readiness is good."

The coach indicated that some new players, such as Hazem Mestouri and Al-Haj Mahmoud, will join the national team following agreements with their respective clubs.

For his part, Tunisian defender Oussama Haddadi expressed great confidence in the team's ability to compensate for the opening loss, asserting that their goal is to appear in a "different light and make the Tunisian fans happy." Haddadi added that the coaching staff has worked on addressing some issues and correcting situations, and the team is in a "good position and has the ability to face all circumstances."
