In an exclusive interview with the Xinhua News Agency, the Director-General of the Authority, Khaled Al-Nuaimi, stated that the establishment of this council is part of the UAE's comprehensive vision to empower its youth worldwide. Al-Nuaimi described the council as a "bridge of communication" between Emirati youth and their Chinese counterparts, which will help build strong human and knowledge-based relationships and reflect the depth of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

The council is expected to organize joint events and initiatives that will allow Emirati students to gain firsthand knowledge of the Chinese experience in vital fields such as education, innovation, and the digital economy. In return, the council will work to introduce the Chinese community to the pioneering development experience of the UAE, particularly in youth empowerment. Al-Nuaimi affirmed that the council's presence in China reflects the UAE's belief in the crucial role of youth in building bridges of international cooperation and advancing bilateral relations.

Al-Nuaimi added that the Federal Youth Authority will continue to support Emirati students in China through development programs, training missions, and knowledge initiatives to ensure they gain the maximum benefit from the Chinese educational environment and transfer their expertise back home. He emphasized that the UAE Youth Council in China is not merely a student gathering but a strategic platform that enhances civilizational dialogue and supports the growing partnership between the two countries in various fields.

The Federal Youth Authority, established in 2018, is a government body that aims to nurture and empower Emirati youth to serve the UAE's vision and sustainable national development. It acts as a link between youth and decision-makers, investing in their potential to build their characters and develop their skills through various programs and initiatives, including supporting the UAE Youth Council and other institutional and local youth councils.
