On the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion, President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation on Tuesday, asserting that Vladimir Putin has failed to break the Ukrainian spirit or destroy the state. "We defended our independence and did not lose our country," Zelensky said, emphasizing the pursuit of a "strong, dignified, and lasting peace."

The anniversary was marked by a high-profile visit from European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, her 10th trip to Kyiv since February 2022. She reaffirmed Europe's unwavering financial and military support during this "harsh winter," sending a sharp message to Moscow: "We will not back down until peace is established on Ukrainian terms." Despite the heavy toll of Europe's deadliest conflict since WWII, the resolve in Kyiv remains unbroken.
