By Sunday morning, authorities declared full control over the city. Meanwhile, U.S. Envoy to Syria Tom Barrack, following a meeting with Transitional President Ahmed Al-Sharaa, urged both the Syrian government and Kurdish authorities to "resume dialogue" and "exercise restraint."
