"America is Back": Trump Vows "Stronger Fire" if Iran Fails to Comply; US Forces to Remain in Position

President Donald Trump made it clear on Thursday, April 9, 2026, that the two-week ceasefire is not a retreat. He stated that all U.S. ships, aircraft, and personnel will remain stationed in and around Iran until "full compliance with the real agreement" is achieved. Trump warned that should Iran falter—a move he deemed "highly unlikely"—U.S. forces would restart the war with a fury "larger, better, and stronger than anything ever seen before".

Crushing the War Machine:

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt highlighted that Trump’s aggressive rhetoric was the "decisive factor" in securing the deal. She noted that the U.S. has effectively achieved its primary goals by "crushing Iran’s weapon-making capacity," leaving Tehran unable to support its regional proxies as it once did. The White House considers this ceasefire a total victory for the United States.
