Following an Israeli attack on a Hamas negotiating delegation in Doha, Qatar, prominent American Senator Bernie Sanders issued a strong condemnation. Sanders stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's "extremist government is completely out of control," and described the attack as a blatant violation of international law.

Attack Details and Political Fallout:
Sharp Criticism: In a post on the "X" platform, the Democratic senator not only condemned the attack but also linked it to Israel's policies in Gaza. He remarked that they are not content with "starving children in Gaza," but are now "also bombing Qatar, a security partner of the United States." This connection highlights growing American frustration with the Netanyahu government's actions.
Israeli Admission: In a surprising move, the Israeli army, in coordination with the Shin Bet (the Israeli Security Agency), claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that it targeted the leadership of Hamas in Doha.
Aftermath: Qatar described the attack as a "cowardly" act targeting residential buildings. For its part, Hamas confirmed that the assassination attempt on its negotiating delegation failed, but noted that several individuals were killed, including Badr Al-Humaidi, a member of the Qatari internal security forces.
Gaza's Humanitarian Crisis: This attack comes amid a catastrophic humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. Since March 2nd, Israel has closed all crossings leading into Gaza, preventing the entry of food, medicine, and humanitarian aid. This has plunged the enclave into a severe famine, despite aid trucks being piled up at the borders.
