Blood in Manama: Bahrain Mourns Young Woman Killed in Iranian Attack on Residential Building

The Kingdom of Bahrain faced a humanitarian tragedy early Tuesday, March 10, 2026, as the Ministry of Interior confirmed the death of a 29-year-old Bahraini woman and reported 8 others injured. This followed a "blatant" Iranian aggression that directly targeted a residential building in the heart of Manama, causing extensive structural damage and widespread panic among civilians.

Iranian Escalation Against Civilians in Bahrain This fatal strike is part of a broader wave of indiscriminate attacks targeting the Kingdom's territory. Alongside the Manama incident, Sitra Island was hit by suicide drones, injuring 32 people, including several children. Authorities confirmed that Iranian missiles and drones also targeted water desalination plants and vital infrastructure, in a clear attempt to destabilize the internal security of Bahrain.


Bahraini Defense Systems on High Alert Security forces in Bahrain activated air raid sirens across all governorates, urging residents to follow safety protocols. The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) revealed it has successfully intercepted 275 aerial threats (102 missiles and 173 drones) since the conflict began on February 28. Manama emphasized that the deliberate targeting of residential neighborhoods constitutes a war crime and a flagrant violation of international law.
