On the ninth day of the conflict, Sunday, March 8, 2026, the Israeli Air Force launched a series of high-precision strikes designed to sever the Iranian military's energy lifeline. For the first time, Israeli jets targeted strategic fuel depots in central Tehran and the Alborz province. Iranian oil officials confirmed that four storage facilities and a distribution center were hit, resulting in the deaths of four employees. The IDF stated that these tanks were vital for powering the "terrorist regime's" military infrastructure, marking a shift toward targeting Iran's domestic logistical backbone.

Deep in central Iran, another major blow was struck at an airbase in Isfahan province. The IDF reported a direct hit on hangars housing Iran's aging but strategic fleet of F-14 Tomcat fighter jets. By neutralizing these aircraft and the surrounding air defense and radar systems, Israel continues to expand its air superiority across the country. Meanwhile, explosions were reported in the province of Yazd, indicating that the air campaign is now systematically dismantling military assets in Iran's geographic center, far beyond the initial border and coastal targets.
