Two regional jets operated by Endeavor Air for Delta Air Lines were involved in a rare low-speed collision on the ramp at LaGuardia Airport (LGA) in New York on Wednesday evening. The incident involved the wing of one aircraft striking the cockpit window of the other.

Delta confirmed in a statement that the two regional CRJ-900 aircraft "made contact at slow speed." Flight 5047 had just arrived from Charlotte, North Carolina, when it was struck by the wing of Flight 5155, which was preparing for departure to Roanoke, Virginia.
In an audio recording captured by LiveATC.net, the pilot of Flight 5047 radioed ground control, saying: "We've had two CRJ aircraft make contact here on ramp M. Right wing of an aircraft struck our nose and our cockpit glass."
Air traffic control audio confirmed that the injuries were minor, with the captain of Flight 5155 reporting that one flight attendant sustained a knee injury. One person was transported to a hospital, according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), which operates the airport. No other individuals were injured.
The flight from Charlotte was carrying 57 passengers, while the Roanoke-bound flight had 28 passengers. All customers were deplaned and bused to the terminal, and they were offered hotel rooms and meals. Delta stated: "Delta will work with all involved parties to review what occurred, as the safety of our customers and employees is our priority. We apologize to our customers for this experience." PANYNJ confirmed that the incident did not impact the airport's overall operations.
