DNA and a Note Reveal New Developments in the Assassination of Activist Kirk

In a significant development in the assassination case of prominent conservative activist Charlie Kirk, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced that DNA samples collected from the crime scene match the suspect in custody, Tyler Robinson (22). This announcement comes five days after the incident that highlighted the deep political divisions in the United States.

Crucial Evidence from the Crime Scene

FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed in a statement to "Fox News" that DNA samples from a "screwdriver" and a towel wrapped around the rifle matched Robinson's DNA. This evidence was found on the roof of the university campus in Utah, where the assassination took place.

A Note Reveals Intent

Patel also noted that investigators found a note written by Robinson before the crime, which stated: "I have a chance to take out Charlie Kirk and I'm going to take it." He added that the note was later destroyed. FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino also confirmed the suspect's "clear intent," mentioning that his friends and family members confirmed he had become more interested in political issues recently.

Authorities continue their investigation to uncover the full motive for the crime, especially since Robinson has refused to cooperate with investigators. He is expected to be formally charged on Tuesday in a Utah court.
