Rejection of Joint Committees and Mediation Silence In a formal diplomatic response to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi’s proposal, Doha stated there is "no need for a joint committee to investigate the attacks," asserting that the immediate cessation of hostilities is the only priority. Furthermore, the spokesperson clarified that Qatar is "unaware of any official mediation currently underway between the United States and Iran," signaling a breakdown in traditional diplomatic backchannels as the conflict shifts toward a direct kinetic phase.


Energy Security and the Strait of Hormuz Qatar underscored that daily communication among Gulf leaders and close coordination with Egypt aims to contain the crisis and prevent total regional chaos.
