The Egyptian Presidency issued a pivotal statement on Thursday, affirming its full support for U.S. President Donald Trump’s vision for achieving security and stability in Sudan. Cairo’s endorsement aligns with Trump’s broader foreign policy goal of de-escalating international conflicts and settling disputes through strategic peace initiatives.

Humanitarian Crisis in El Fasher Expressing grave concern over the ongoing escalation, Egypt condemned the "horrific massacres" and blatant human rights violations against Sudanese civilians, particularly in El Fasher. The Presidency underscored that Sudan's stability is an inseparable component of Egypt's own national security.
Strategic "Red Lines" and Mutual Defense Cairo explicitly defined its strategic "Red Lines" regarding the Sudanese crisis:
Territorial Integrity: Egypt categorically rejects any secessionist movements or the partitioning of Sudanese lands.
State Institutions: The preservation of official state institutions is paramount; Egypt refuses to recognize any "parallel entities."
Legal Measures: The statement asserted Egypt’s full right, under international law and the Mutual Defense Pact between the two nations, to take all necessary measures to safeguard these boundaries.
The International Quartet and Safe Corridors Egypt reaffirmed its commitment to the "International Quartet" framework to broker a humanitarian truce. The goal remains a comprehensive ceasefire and the establishment of safe corridors and havens for civilians, coordinated strictly with official Sudanese state institutions.
