Egypt's capital, Cairo, hosted an important meeting today, Tuesday, between Egyptian Foreign Minister Abdel-Aaty and his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi. The discussions focused on several prominent regional and international issues, with a primary focus on the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip and Iran's nuclear file.

According to Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Tamim Khalaf, the two ministers discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries, appreciating the increasing pace of meetings and communications recently. They also emphasized the importance of continuing consultation and coordination on issues of mutual interest, with a focus on boosting economic, commercial, and tourism cooperation to serve the shared interests of both nations.
The meeting specifically addressed the crisis in Gaza, where both sides agreed on the necessity of stopping the Israeli aggression, ensuring urgent access for humanitarian aid, and rejecting any attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their land.
The ministers also discussed developments in the Iranian nuclear file. In this context, Minister Abdel-Aaty underscored the importance of continuing efforts to create the necessary conditions for reaching a satisfactory and sustainable settlement between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency. He noted that such a settlement must consider the interests of all parties, contribute to de-escalation, rebuild trust, and create a regional climate that supports security and stability.
