The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) achieved a significant tactical gain on Wednesday by capturing the Abu Qamra area in the Karnoi locality, North Darfur, after fierce clashes with the Joint Forces of armed movements. Reports indicate that the RSF is currently mobilizing along the "Desert Axis" to launch a decisive assault on the final three localities under opposition control: Ambro, Karnoi, and Tina.

This offensive follows an urgent appeal from Darfur’s Governor, Minni Arko Minawi, calling on citizens to defend their land. The humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate following the fall of El Fasher in October, which displaced over 400,000 people. Recent satellite analysis from Yale University’s Humanitarian Research Lab alleges that the RSF has systematically destroyed evidence of mass killings, while the group continues to deny widespread atrocities, citing internal accountability mechanisms.
