The Bahraini Public Prosecution ordered the detention of several suspects on Monday, April 6, 2026, on charges of collaborating with Iranian intelligence and the Revolutionary Guard (IRGC). According to the Terrorist Crimes Prosecution, the cell was tasked with monitoring and gathering intelligence on vital locations across the Kingdom for potential military targeting.

Mapping the Destruction:
The suspects were also directed to document and photograph the aftermath of recent Iranian drone and missile strikes on Bahraini soil, feeding the information back to Tehran to assess the damage. The prosecution confirmed that the individuals had already carried out some of these assignments before their arrest by the National Intelligence Service.
