Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday of not having a clear plan for the confrontation with Iran.

According to the Times of Israel, Galant called for the need to renew the war's objectives in light of the raging attack with Iran, and warned Netanyahu that the war effort has become aimless and needs to be refocused.
Galant said in his warning that Israel is fighting based on an "outdated compass," according to the newspaper.
In recent months, Israeli media have reported that Prime Minister Netanyahu intends to dismiss Galant and appoint Gideon Sa'ar as his successor.
Last Saturday, Israel launched airstrikes on Iranian military sites in response to the missile attack launched by Tehran on its territory on October 1, which resulted in the killing of the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, General Abbas Nefroshan of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, and the former political director of the Hamas movement, Ismail Haniyeh.
