Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President, stated on Thursday, March 26, 2026, that Iran’s continued aggression will only serve to increase its global isolation. Commenting on the UN Human Rights Council's unanimous condemnation of Iranian strikes, Gargash emphasized that targeting civilians, energy infrastructure, and maritime safety "will not pass without accountability," asserting that the "right to self-defense is guaranteed."

Gargash highlighted that the international consensus in Geneva solidifies a clear global stance against Tehran’s blatant violations of international law and state sovereignty. This follows a UN resolution branding Iranian actions as "heinous" and demanding immediate reparations for victims and an end to threats against the Strait of Hormuz.
