Following the assassination of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem issued a defiant statement promising to confront the "U.S.-Zionist aggression." Qassem emphasized that the group would not abandon the "field of resistance," sparking fears of an imminent Hezbollah strike against Israel. In direct contrast, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam took to social media to warn against "adventures" that could jeopardize Lebanon's security, urging citizens to prioritize national interests over regional conflicts.

The political rift in Beirut highlights the growing concern that Lebanon may be dragged into an all-out war. As Israel bolsters its northern defenses, the international community remains on high alert for any tactical movement from Hezbollah across the Blue Line.
