Hypersonic Inferno: Iran Strikes Tel Aviv's Defense HQ as Millions Take Shelter Amid "Total War" with U.S. and Israel

In a massive retaliatory strike early Sunday, March 1, 2026, Iran launched waves of "Fattah" hypersonic missiles targeting major Israeli cities. A direct hit was reported near the "Kirya" (Israel's Ministry of Defense) in Tel Aviv, leaving over 121 injured and causing at least one death. Sirens blared from Jerusalem to Ashdod as the Israeli public spent the entire day in underground bunkers following warnings from the Home Front Command.

The escalation follows President Donald Trump's announcement of a "large-scale military operation" to dismantle Iran’s nuclear and missile infrastructure. While the IDF claimed numerous interceptions, Iranian state media (Tasnim) asserted a 90% success rate, claiming their hypersonic technology bypassed regional defense shields. Prime Minister Netanyahu vowed that the joint U.S.-Israeli campaign would continue until the "threat from the Iranian regime is eliminated."
