IDF Strikes IRGC’s "Imam Hossein University" in Tehran; Subterranean Missile Tunnels and Chemical Labs Destroyed

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Monday, March 30, 2026, that recent airstrikes have neutralized key military infrastructure within Imam Hossein University in Tehran. The university, the primary academic arm of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), allegedly served as a civilian cover for the research and development of advanced weaponry.

According to the military statement, the strikes successfully destroyed several core components, including underground wind tunnels used for ballistic missile testing and a specialized chemistry center linked to chemical weapons research. Commanded by Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Hassani Shahnegari, the institution is a central hub for officer training and force buildup. The IDF emphasized that targeting this site is essential to degrading the Iranian regime’s indigenous weapons production capabilities.
