Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity confirmed on Sunday, April 5, 2026, that Iranian drone strikes caused significant damage to two power generation and water desalination units, knocking them out of service. Attacks also targeted the Ministries Complex and a Kuwait Petroleum Corporation facility. Simultaneously, Bahrain reported a major fire at a "Bapco" storage tank following an "evil Iranian aggression".

False Pretexts:
While the Iranian military claimed to target "U.S. military infrastructure and aluminum factories," Gulf officials emphasized that only civilian service facilities were hit. Regional defenses remained active as the UAE intercepted a fresh wave of missiles and drones, and Saudi Arabia confirmed the destruction of an incoming cruise missile.
