Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi affirmed during a meeting with university students in Hamadan that Tehran "distrusts any country," stressing that continued negotiations are solely aimed at achieving "the interests of the Iranian people."

Power Guarantees Survival in the International System
Missile Effectiveness: Araghchi noted that the "12-day war" demonstrated Iran's military and scientific capabilities, asserting that Iranian missiles bypassed defenses and accurately hit their targets, despite US and European support for Israel.
Law of the Jungle: He emphasized that the confrontation highlighted the fact that "power alone is the guarantor of survival in an international system still dominated by the law of the jungle."
Policy of Independence: He explained that the policy of "neither East nor West" means independence from any external axis, stating that Iran would cooperate with the East and West if its interests were respected, but "experience has proven otherwise" with the West.
Negotiations and Strategic Partnerships
Negotiations as a Tool: Araghchi described dialogue as an "essential tool for achieving national interests," stressing that sanctions relief must be achieved in an "honorable manner that preserves the dignity of the Iranian people."
Zangezur Corridor: He stressed that Iran "will not accept any change in the region's borders or geopolitics," and is directly following the Zangezur Corridor issue.
Conditional Partnership: He concluded by saying Tehran "distrusts any country," but maintains strategic partnerships based on shared interests with Russia and China under clear agreements, ultimately relying on the Iranian people.
