IRGC Commander Threatens Israel with 'Painful' Attack

Iranian Revolutionary Guard Commander Hossein Salami threatened Israel on Thursday with a 'painful' strike if it attacks Iranian targets, as Israel has vowed to do after Iranian missile attacks on its territory earlier this month.

'If you make a mistake and attack our targets in the region or in Iran, we will strike you again with a painful strike,' Salami warned.

'If you attack any part of Iran, we will strike you with a painful strike,' the IRGC commander said.

He was speaking at the funeral of General Abbas Nirpooshan, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut on September 27, which killed Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah.

Salami's statements coincided with the United States' expectation of the timing of the Israeli response to Iran after November 5.

CNN, citing its sources, revealed that the Israeli attack on Iran will be before November 5.

The publication of this date coincided with the arrival of the American THAAD air defense system to Israel in order to prepare for any repercussions of an Israeli response to an Iranian missile attack.
