Israel announced on Saturday the elimination of two Hezbollah commanders in southern Lebanon, stating that they were working to re-establish the group's presence in the region.

Israeli Army Statement Details
First Commander (Miv'adon Area): The Israeli military (IDF) stated it "eliminated the terrorist Kamal Rida Karanbush in the Miv'adon area of southern Lebanon," adding that Karanbush "was involved in attempts to re-establish Hezbollah's force in the area."
Second Commander (Houla Area): In an additional strike, the IDF eliminated another Hezbollah operative in the Houla area, described as a "local representative of Hezbollah in the Houla region."
Second Commander's Role: This operative was responsible for communication between the organization and local residents regarding financial and military matters, and worked to "confiscate private assets for use in terrorism."
Violation and Response: The statement asserted that the terrorists' activities constituted a "violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon," and the IDF will continue to operate to remove any threat.
