The Israeli Army (IDF) continued its operations on Sunday, involving bombing and demolition of residential buildings in several areas of the Gaza Strip. Palestinian circles described this as a continued violation of the ceasefire agreement in effect since last month (October).

Details of the Israeli Operations
Bombing and Demolition: Sources told the German News Agency (DPA) that Israeli vehicles stationed east of Jabalia in the northern Strip fired heavily. Other units carried out four demolition operations targeting residential buildings in the eastern parts of Khan Younis in the southern Strip.
Targeting Southern and Central Cities: The sources added that Israeli artillery intensely shelled various areas in Rafah and Khan Younis, coinciding with airstrikes targeting the outskirts of those cities. Other shells hit areas east of Deir al-Balah in the central Strip and the Al-Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City.
Fragile Truce and Mutual Accusations
Ceasefire Agreement: The ceasefire agreement was reached on October 10th through regional and international mediation, stipulating a mutual cessation of fire and allowing the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip.
Escalation of Violations: Palestinian factions speak of an escalation in the pace of Israeli violations in recent days despite the agreement remaining in effect.
Context: This escalation comes nearly two years after the war that erupted between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip in October 2023, which resulted in the killing of tens of thousands of Palestinians and widespread infrastructure destruction.
Current Situation: Despite UN and Egyptian efforts to stabilize the calm, the ceasefire agreement remains fragile amid mutual accusations of violation and the continuation of Israeli military movements along the edges of the Strip.
