Israeli Army Raids Tubas; West Bank Ignites Again

Large forces from the Israeli Army renewed their incursion into wide areas of the city of Tubas and the town of Aqqaba in the northern West Bank at dawn on Monday. This comes just one day after their withdrawal from the governorate following a continuous 4-day offensive.

1. Details of the Incursion and Measures in Tubas


  • Curfew Imposed: The Israeli forces announced a curfew in Tubas until further notice.

  • Deployment and Damage:

    • Occupation forces spread throughout the city and the town of Aqqaba.

    • They renewed the raiding of homes and converted them into military barracks.

    • Military bulldozers began blocking roads and severing the governorate's connections.

  • Disruption of Public Life: The governorate announced the suspension of the educational process and the closure of all institutions following the imposition of the curfew and the renewed offensive.

  • Background of Previous Incursion: The renewed incursion follows a previous 4-day offensive that left "widespread destruction of public and private property, hundreds of injuries and arrests, and raids on citizens' homes."


2. Incursions and Raids in Other Areas


Other areas in the West Bank witnessed simultaneous incursions and raids:

  • Bethlehem (Beit Fajjar):

    • Occupation forces stormed the town of Beit Fajjar south of Bethlehem in large numbers.

    • They raided and searched a number of citizens' homes.

    • They detained 40 citizens, interrogated them in the field, and then released them.

  • Bethlehem (Al-Ubeidiya):

    • Occupation forces detained 4 citizens in the town of Al-Ubeidiya to the east and interrogated them after raiding and searching their homes.
