Israeli soldier killed, dozens injured in Haifa as Hezbollah drone explodes

The Israeli army announced on Sunday evening that an Israeli soldier was killed in the explosion of a drone launched from Lebanon that crashed near the Binyamina area east of Hadera in northern Israel.

Israeli ambulances said that 67 people were injured, at least four of them seriously, in the drone explosion south of Haifa.

Israeli Army Radio said that Israeli air defense systems failed to detect the drone.

“We will not allow Hezbollah terrorists to return to these areas, even if the army counts its forces.”

“This is vital to ensuring the security of the northern [Israeli] population,” he added in a video from the Israeli-Lebanese border.
