Marking the fourth anniversary of the conflict on Tuesday, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia’s military objectives in Ukraine remain unfulfilled, vowing that the army will continue fighting until they are met. Peskov described the conflict as having evolved into a "much broader confrontation" with Western nations that he claims are intent on "crushing Russia."

While maintaining a hardline military stance, Peskov noted that Moscow remains open to achieving its goals through diplomatic channels. However, he admitted that he could not specify a time or place for any upcoming peace talks, highlighting the deadlock as the war enters its fifth year.
