The Israeli Ministry of Defense, in partnership with Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, announced Wednesday the successful completion of a series of "complex" tests for the David’s Sling air defense system. These drills utilized operational lessons learned during the recent conflict to enhance the system's ability to intercept medium-to-long-range threats, including cruise missiles, aircraft, and loitering munitions (suicide drones).

Operating as the middle tier of Israel’s multi-layered defense shield, David’s Sling bridges the gap between the short-range Iron Dome and the long-range Arrow systems. Officials emphasized that the success of these tests represents a significant technical milestone, ensuring the system remains effective against evolving tactical threats. The upgrades focus on improved radar detection and interception accuracy in highly contested environments.
