A new book reveals that Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, sought advice from US Attorney General Pam Bondi in March on how to speak with US President Donald Trump.

Details of the Secret Meeting and Its Context
Seeking Advice: The book Revenge: Donald Trump and the Campaign That Changed America, by ABC journalist Jonathan Karl, revealed that Zuckerberg asked Bondi for advice on how to speak "effectively" with Trump about "Meta’s concerns," according to Business Insider.
Timing and Secrecy: The meeting was previously undisclosed and took place during one of Zuckerberg's visits to Washington D.C. in March 2025.
Sequence of Events: After meeting with Attorney General Bondi, Zuckerberg met directly with Trump at the White House on the very same day.
The Context: Anti-Trust Case
The meeting was held just weeks before the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) began its anti-trust trial against Meta.
Case Status: The trial began in April and concluded last May. The federal judge has not yet issued a final ruling on whether Meta violated anti-trust laws.
Potential Risk: The parent company, Meta, could be forced to divest Instagram and WhatsApp if found guilty of monopolistic practices.
Relationship History: Zuckerberg was among the major tech CEOs who attended Trump's inauguration last January. He also attended an official dinner at the White House hosted by Trump for tech leaders last September.
