Houthi-affiliated media reported that Israeli airstrikes targeted key civilian sites in the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, including the central electricity station in Hazi and an oil facility. This assault comes amid rising tensions between Israel and the Houthis, following Israeli sources revealing plans for large-scale military operations in Yemen.

Details of the Israeli Strikes on Sana'a
According to the Houthi-run Al Masirah channel, the Israeli raids hit an oil company station on Al-Sitteen Street and the Hazi electricity station, both in Sana'a. Concurrently, Reuters witnesses stated that the attacks also targeted the Presidential Compound and missile launch bases. In Israel, Channel 12, citing a military source, confirmed that the army had initiated a series of strikes in Yemen in response to the Houthis' continuous launching of missiles and drones.
Israel's Challenges in Facing the Houthis
These attacks follow revelations from Israeli sources to the Walla news website about significant intelligence efforts to create a "target bank" against Houthi strongholds in Yemen. However, the sources clarified that Israel finds it very difficult to curb the continuous missile and drone launches, which leaves its home front constantly vulnerable. The report also mentioned a failed assassination attempt against the Houthi Chief of Staff, Mohammed Abdul Karim Al-Ramrai, highlighting the difficulties Israel faces in targeting Houthi leadership. Political sources confirmed that striking the Houthis is complex because most of their strongholds are underground, requiring the compilation of multiple targets to achieve a significant impact.
