The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that Hassan Jaafar Qasir, the son-in-law of the late Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, was killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a building in the Mezzeh area of Damascus on Wednesday. The observatory said the airstrike killed three people, including two Lebanese, one of whom was Hassan Jaafar Qasir.

According to the observatory, the Israeli raid came as part of the escalation of tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, as it targeted the building that was being used for military purposes. The observatory added that the raid caused significant damage to the building and the surrounding areas.
It is noteworthy that Hassan Jaafar Qasir was a prominent figure in Hezbollah, and was assassinated by Israel last Friday in the southern suburbs of Beirut. Qasir was known for his military and political activity within the party, and played a major role in the operations carried out by the party in Syria and Lebanon.
His brother, another Hezbollah leader, was also killed in an Israeli airstrike near Beirut's southern suburbs on Tuesday. The strikes come at a time of heightened tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, with both sides accusing each other of carrying out attacks and assassinations.
