Indonesia’s representative to the UN, Omer Hadi, called for an immediate and independent United Nations investigation into the deaths of three Indonesian peacekeepers serving with UNIFIL. Speaking during an emergency Security Council session, Hadi rejected Israel's preliminary findings, stating that Jakarta demands "direct UN accountability, not just Israeli excuses."

UN security sources confirmed that the first soldier was killed by an Israeli tank shell on Sunday, while two others died on Monday in a blast likely caused by a landmine. Despite the IDF's insistence that it had no troops in the area and planted no explosives, UN investigators found tank shell fragments at the site. Indonesia maintains that targeting Blue Helmets is a grave violation of international law.
