Nuclear Brinkmanship: Tehran Threatens 90% Enrichment as Trump and Netanyahu Discuss "Special Operation" to Seize Uranium

In a dramatic escalation of rhetoric, Ebrahim Rezaei, the spokesperson for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament, declared on Tuesday that Tehran might escalate uranium enrichment to 90% purity. This level is internationally recognized as weapons-grade. Rezaei noted via social media that this "nuclear option" is a direct response to any potential new attacks on Iranian soil, confirming that the Parliament is prepared to formalize this strategic shift.

التصعيد النووي يبلغ ذروته: إيران تلوح بسلاح "النسبة القصوى" وواشنطن وتل أبيب تدرسان خيار "العملية الخاصة"

The "Seize and Secure" Strategy: Trump’s Warning This development coincides with renewed speculation regarding a U.S.-Israeli military intervention. President Donald Trump revealed on Monday that negotiations have reached a stalemate. He recounted a provocative exchange with Iranian officials who, after initially offering access to damaged nuclear sites, rescinded the offer, telling Washington: "Take it yourselves." Trump emphasized that the U.S. is closely monitoring these sites and is prepared to use "decisive force" to prevent any further enrichment or movement of the high-purity stockpile.

Netanyahu’s Direct Approach: "Go in and Take it" Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu echoed this hardline stance during an interview with "60 Minutes." When questioned about the logistics of neutralizing Iran's nuclear threat, Netanyahu’s response was blunt: "You go in and you take it." He confirmed that President Trump had expressed a strong interest in a specialized military operation to physically remove the enriched uranium from Iran, labeling such a mission as "tactically feasible." These statements signal a transition from diplomatic containment to active military contingency planning between Washington and Tel Aviv.
