Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed statements regarding a potential Russian attack on Europe as "lies and nonsense." Speaking during an expanded meeting of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Putin asserted that such claims are baseless attempts to fuel "hysteria" among Europeans.

1. Dismissing European "Hysteria"
Firm Denial: Putin described the warnings of an inevitable clash with Russia as "pure delirium." He emphasized that Moscow has no intention of attacking Europe, contrary to repeated Western warnings.
2. Advanced Weaponry and Strategic Parity
Oreshnik Missile: Putin announced that the "Oreshnik" hypersonic intermediate-range missile will be placed on combat duty by the end of this year.
Burevestnik and Poseidon: He confirmed the successful testing of the "Burevestnik" global-range cruise missile and the "Poseidon" underwater drone. He stated these systems would ensure Russia's strategic parity and security for decades to come.
3. Naval Expansion and Nuclear Deterrence
Strategic Priority: Strengthening strategic nuclear forces remains Russia’s top priority as a key element of deterrence.
Naval Fleet: The Russian Navy received several new submarines this year, including the strategic missile carrier "Knyaz Pozharsky," alongside 19 new warships.
