Ramming Attack in Kfar Yona Wounds 9 Israeli Soldiers, Police Pursue Attacker

Nine Israeli soldiers were wounded on Thursday in a deliberate ramming attack that took place at a bus stop in the city of Kfar Yona, central Israel. Israeli police are conducting an extensive manhunt for the perpetrator who fled the scene, utilizing helicopters and advanced technology.

Israeli media confirmed that all the injured were soldiers waiting at the bus stop at the time of the incident. According to Israel's Magen David Adom (MDA) ambulance service, six soldiers sustained moderate injuries, while the injuries of the other three were described as minor. MDA Director-General Eli Bin confirmed that the incident did not result in any serious injuries, noting that rescue teams are still on site providing treatment and transporting the wounded.

Israel's Channel 12 reported that the attacker used a private vehicle to carry out the assault before fleeing the area. Israeli police believe the ramming was intentional and immediately launched a widespread search operation.

Police forces are currently utilizing a helicopter, drones, a K9 unit, motorcycles, and emergency teams in their search for the suspect in open areas, activating all available technological means. Investigators and forensic experts are examining the vehicle left near the scene of the incident to gather additional evidence that could help identify and locate the perpetrator.

Closures of Crossings and Roads

In a related context, Hebrew media reported that police have closed a number of major crossings around Kfar Yona, including the road leading to the city of Tulkarm in the northwestern occupied West Bank. These measures are being taken in an attempt to tighten the noose around the attacker and determine his potential whereabouts.

As of now, the police have not released the suspect's identity, nor has any Palestinian faction issued a statement regarding the attack.
